Capturing recorded video from a DV camcorder
For best results with muvee autoProducer, capture only video footage that you are most interested in using in your movie project.
To capture video to your hard disk drive:
1If your project is already open, click the capture DV button, and skip to step 4.
2Click Start, choose All Programs, muvee autoProducer, and then click muvee autoProducer again.
3Open a project by selecting from the File menu either New Project or Open Project.
4Connect your DV camcorder to the FireWire (IEEE 1394) port on your PC, and turn on the camcorder.
5Set the camcorder to VCR mode using the instructions in the manufacturer’s documentation.
6Click the Play button onscreen to begin viewing the video.
7Click Start Capture when you see the start of the video footage you want to use in your movie project.
8Click the Stop Capture button to stop capturing.
9Repeat steps 7 and 8 to capture additional sections of video footage.
10Click the Browse button to be able to specify a file name and folder for the captured video file.
Selecting videos and pictures
It is easy to add video files and still image files to your muvee production. The following formats are supported:
•Video — DV, AVI,
•Pictures — BMP, JPG, JPEG, GIF
To add video and picture files:
1If your project is already open, click the video/pictures button, and skip to step 4.
2Click Start, choose All Programs, muvee autoProducer, and then click muvee autoProducer again.
3Open a project by selecting from the File menu either New Project or Open Project, and then click video/pictures.
4Click Add Video to select existing video files on your PC, if desired for your movie.
5Click Add Picture to select still image files on your PC, if desired for your movie.
