Safety Information

WARNING All inputs/outputs are Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) circuits.

CAUTION The hardware contains electronic components that can be damaged by static electricity. To avoid damage, follow these guidelines:

Store the hardware in its conductive plastic bag.

If possible, work in a static-free area.

Handle circuit boards by the edges only.

Do not touch electronic components or electrical traces. We strongly recommend that you use a grounding wrist strap that is connected to the metallic chassis of the host computer. If you do not have a wrist strap, touch the chassis before handling adapters and frequently thereafter to equalize any static charge.

The optic module provided in the HP A5483A HP-PCI ATM/622 adapter meets LED AEL Class 1 requirements per

EN 60825-1:1994 (+ A11) and EN 60825-2:1994.

The optic module provided in the HP A5483A HP-PCI ATM/622 adapter conforms to the ITU-T recommendation G.957 cat I-1 or I-4.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Radio Frequency Interference Statement.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that might cause undesired operation.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of the equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
