Adjusting the tension of the door spring

oThe door of the dishwasher is attached to springs. These are set at the factory to ensure that they are at the proper tension, so that the door can open and close smoothly.

oAfter the furniture door has been fitted, you will need to adjust the tension of the door spring.

oUsing a suitable screwdriver, rotate the adjusting screw shown in the image above to either tighten or slacken the steel cable.

oThe doors’ spring tension is correct when:-

a)The door remains horizontal when in the fully opened position.

b)You are able to shut the door easily, by raising the door using your fingers.

oWARNING: If you do not adjust the tension of the door spring, then it could cause damage to the appliance.
