8.6.7Security

PIN code (1)

The SIM card protection code is requested each

 

time the phone is switched on if this code is

 

activated. You can choose either to activate/

 

deactivate it or change the code (between 4 and 8

 

digits).

PIN 2 code (1)

A protection code for certain SIM card features

 

(Billing/Cost/FDN, etc.) will be requested if you

 

attempt to access it, if the code is activated. Select

 

Change to update it with a new one (between 4 and

 

8 digits).

Network code (1) Password requested for network “Call Barring” options.

Menu code A protection code for certain MENU options (services, settings, language) will be requested if you attempt to access it, if the code is activated.You can choose either to activate/deactivate it or change the code (between 4 and 8 digits).

Telephone code A telephone protection code will be requested each time the phone is switched on, if this code is activated. Select whether you want to change, activate or cancel this code.

8.6.8Privacy

Activate” this option in order to protect your diary or directory data.This option is useful if you use PC synchronisation.

8.6.9Networks

SMS CB (1)

Messages broadcast over the network (weather forecast, traffic conditions, etc.) are

 

automatically displayed on the main screen.

CB list

List of codes for messages to be displayed.

Reception

Depending on the option selected, the phone will display messages broadcast over the

 

network.

 

Partial

The phone receives messages intermittently and will display them according to your list

 

(see “CB list” option).

Complete

The phone continually receives messages and will display them according to your list (see

 

CB list” option).

None

The phone will not receive any messages.

Search

Search for a network connection.

Available

List of networks available in your radio environment.

Mode

Depending on the option selected, the network search mode will be:

Automatic

The first network searched for is the network you used last.

Manual

The choice of the connection network is left up to the user.

Preferred list

List of networks to which you wish to be connected in order of priority (update this list

 

using

).

Band

Select the frequency band.
