To ensure that your installation proceeds smoothly--please read these instructions carefully before you begin.

WARNING: SUPPLY INLET MUST BE FILTERED WITH A 60 MESH SCREEN.

 

USE AMERICAN STANDARD MIXING VALVE WITH STRAINER OR COMMERCIAL 60 MESH STRAINER.

ASSEMBLING MOUNTING KIT

Thread (3) SCREWS into LOCK RING.

SCREWS should extend half-way thru RING.

3 MOUNTING FITTING

Install faucet through the ESCUTCHEON being sure the rubber GASKET is between the FAUCET and the

ESCUTCHEON.

Install brass WASHER and turn LOCK-RING onto SHANK.

Tighten (3) SCREWS in the LOCK-RING to secure fitting.

FOR 1340 SERIES ONLY

Warning; 60 MESH STRAINER required for supply water.

Install RISER TUBE (not included) and tighten

SUPPLY NUT.

Connect RISER TUBE to COLD or TEMPERED water supply.

1 ASSEMBLING ESCUTCHEON KIT (OPTIONAL)

CAUTION

Turn off hot and cold water supplies before beginning.

Peel off paper backing from PADS and stick both PADS to underside of ESCUTCHEON about 1/4" from ends.

Peel off paper backing from WASHER and stick WASHER into circular groove of SUPPORT PLATE.

Connect FLEXIBLE FAUCET SUPPLIES (1/2" faucet cone on one end, 3/8" compression on the other) to the MIXING

VALVE INLETS and the

 

hot/cold wall stops.

 

The FLEXIBLE FAUCET

 

SUPPLIES are NOT

 

included. Turn on WALL

 

STOPS and check

 

for leaks.

With WALL STOPS open and water flowing, adjust MIXING VALVE to temper water.
