Use a sparkguard if running with the doors open

5.Running The appliance

5.1Burning Wood:

Close the Primary air control (multi-fuel versions only) and use the Airwash to control the burn rate when appliance is at operating temperature, see Diagram 9

PR8005

Wood burns best on a bed of ash

Rake the embers evenly over the fire bed and open the

Airwash control fully for a few minutes before re-fuelling

4.2Burn new logs at high output for a few minutes before adjusting the Airwash control. Refuel little and often for clean, efficient burning.

4.3Experience establishes settings to suit personal preferences.

4.4Do not burn large amounts of fuel with the Airwash control closed for long periods of time. This reduces the glass cleaning effect and causes tars and creosotes to build-up in the appliance and flue system.

4.5When in use, burning the appliance at high output for a short period also reduces tars and creosote.

5.2Burning Solid fuel:

To burn solid fuel efficiently in a wood version the multi- fuel kit should be fitted.

Refuel little and often for clean, efficient burning.

5.3Experience establishes control settings to suit personal preferences

5.4Do not burn large amounts of fuel with the Primary Air Control on low settings for long periods of time. This reduces the glass cleaning effect of the airwash and causes tars and creosotes to build-up in the appliance and flue system.
