Selecting Preferences

MONITOR TYPE

You can select a monitor type when you playback DVD discs recorded for wide screen televisions.

If your television has a normal (4:3) screen, select “4:3 PS ” (cuts both sides of the “wide” picture) or “4:3 LB ” (with masking bars to maintain the “wide” aspect ratio).

DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT

To connect the XV-1000BK digital output with an external amplifier or receiver equipped with an optical digital input, this item must be set correctly.

PCM ONLY: to connect to an optical input of an audio equipment.

PCM/AC-3: to connect to a Dolby AC-3 optical digital input of a Dolby

Digital AC-3 decoder.

If you use the AV Compulink system, you must set this item correctly.

Select from the three options: DVD1, DVD2 and DVD3 according to the equipment to be connected.
