Calling

Learn to use calling functions, such as making and answering calls, using options available during a call or customising and using call-related features.

You can use the buttons or the touch screen when you make, accept, end or reject calls.

•When you hold the device near your face during a voice call, your device automatically locks the touch screen to prevent accidental input.

•Static electricity discharged from your body or clothing may interfere with the proximity sensor during a call.

Make a call

1	In Idle mode, open the application list and select
	Phone → Keypad, and enter an area code and a
2	phone number.
	Select	to make a call.
3	To end the call, select End call.

•Use the phonebook to save numbers you dial frequently. ► p. 67

•To quickly access the call log to redial the numbers you dialled recently, select Phone → Logs.

Answer a call

1	When a call comes in, drag right until it reaches the
	dot.
	When the device is ringing, press and hold the
	Volume key to mute the ringtone.
2	To end the call, select End call.
