When setting a ﬂash option, you can adjust the brightness of the ﬂash.

1In the Shooting mode, press [MENU].

2Select Shooting 2 (2) → Flash.

3Press the [Fn] button after selecting a desired item.

4Adjust the brightness of the ﬂash by rotating the dial or pressing [W / X].

• You can adjust ﬂash brightness by ±2 levels.

•If the subject is too close, the ISO sensitivity is high, or the exposure value is too large or small, the adjustment effect will be reduced.

•The Flash Brightness Adjustment function is not available in some shooting modes.

•If an external ﬂ ash unit has a ﬂ ash control function, the light control value of the external ﬂ ash is applied when you connect it to the camera.

•If the distance from the subject is quite close when taking images by using the built-in ﬂ ash, part of the images may appear dark as the lens is interfered with the ﬂ ash light. Please check the distance between camera and subject when taking pictures. The distance interfered with ﬂ ash light may vary by the type of lens in use.

•If you've installed a lens hood, the hood can block light from the built-in ﬂ ash. Please remove the lens hood when using the built- in ﬂ ash.
