For the CD Changer Controller

For ease of use, you can mount the sup- plied CD changer controller on the dash- board using the supplied hook-and-loop fastening tape.

Note: When you choose a mounting area for the controller, make sure it is close enough to the Audio Adapter’s mounting area so the controller’s cord will reach the Audio Adapter. The con- troller’s cord is about 5 feet (152 cm) long.

REMOVING THE TRANSPORT SCREWS

The transport screws help protect the CD changer from damage during ship- ment.

Before you mount the CD changer, use a small screwdriver to remove the three transport screws from the bottom of the CD changer.

Note: If you do not remove the shipping screws from the CD changer, the chang- er will not operate.

Save the shipping screws in case you might want to install the CD changer in another vehicle. You can secure them to the back of the CD changer with a piece of tape.

INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL’S BATTERIES

AAbatteries (not supplied) for power. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend RadioShack alka- line batteries.

Cautions:

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.

Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (stan- dard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
