Basics

You can use the following charms:

Search: Search for data in applications.

Share: Share files with others.

Start: Return to the Start screen or open the most recent application.

Devices: Share files with connected devices.

Settings: Access the settings panel to configure settings for the device or applications.

Using applications

This device can run many different types of applications, ranging from media to Internet applications. Some applications are available only in Windows desktop mode.

Opening an application

On the Start screen or the Applications screen, tap an application icon to open it.

Opening the most recent application

Flick from the left edge of the screen towards the middle of the screen to open the most recent application.

Switching applications

Flick inward from the left edge of the screen and then back again to open the list of active applications.

To deactivate this feature, flick from the right edge of the screen towards the middle of the screen, tap Settings Change PC settings General, and then drag the Allow switching between recent apps switch to the left.
