Dolby Surround modes

Press the Dolby Surround button.

PRO-Logic is selected, and the playback sound has the Dolby Surround effect.

To cancel Dolby Surround mode

Press the Dolby Surround button repeatedly until OFF is displayed.

When playing DVD, if an Audio is Dolby Digital, it can not be operated.

When being connected to headphones and microphone, this function cannot be operated.

Additional Dolby Surround modes

In addition to the PRO-Logic mode, this unit is also equipped with the 3 STEREO modes.

PRO-Logic :Use this mode when rear speakers are connected. The center channel signals are output through the left and right speakers.

3 STEREO : Use this mode when no rear speakers are connected. This mode reproduces rear sounds through the front speakers.

PRO-Logic 3 STEREO OFF

Depending on the sound source or listening conditions, a surround effect may not be obtained even when the Dolby Surround is on. The full Dolby Surround effect cannot be obtained when using soft-

ware without

 

 

DOLBY SURROUND

mark. In this case, use the DSP

system instead.

Adjusting Speaker Level Balance

The unit is equipped with a built-in test signal generator called a noise sequencer which outputs a noise signal that ‘travels’ from channel to chanel. This enables the simple adjustment of sound levels, to achieve, at the listening position, the same apparent loudness from each channel. Use the remote control.

Press the Dolby Surround button.

A noise signal is sent to each channel in turn in the following

When the Dolby surround system is on, this function can be operated.
