SYLVANIA QUICKTRONIC POWERSENSE ballasts operate linear fluorescent T5 lamps over a wide (100-1%) dimming range and provide true versatility in controls selection.

QUICKTRONIC POWERSENSE ballasts feature micro-controller technology to offer the industry’s most adaptable dimming ballast. Compatibility with low voltage controls, power line dimmers and any line voltage from 120V to 277V, provides the flexibility to greatly simplify the specifi- cation, purchasing and installation process.

Patented lamp detection technology delivers unmatched performance. Variations in brightness from lamp-to- lamp are virtually eliminated, providing uniform lighting throughout the dimming range. At light levels of >75% unnec- essary lamp-coil power is turned off, delivering energy efficiences comparable to non-dimming Instant start electronic ballast. This technology also eases instal- lation and troubleshooting by recognizing failed lamps, faulty wiring or loose

System Information

QUICKTRONIC POWERSENSE ballasts operate from standard low voltage (0-10VDC) fluorescent controllers or compatible 2-wire power line fluorescent dimmers, making them ideal for individual office lighting or automated building applications, both in new construction and retrofit projects.

For the individual office or conference room, installation can be streamlined by using a 2-wire power line dimmer; eliminating the need for additional control wires.

For more advanced systems, such as daylight harvesting or building automation applications, standard low voltage devices (0-10VDC, Class 1 or 2) are used to control the lighting system. In this daylight harvesting example, each lighting fixture (or fixture row) is controlled by it’s own photosensor; regulating the

T5 specifications

Sylvania T5 fluorescent lamps, designed for efficiency and versatility, represent a significant advancement in lighting technology. These compact and energy-efficient tubes are commonly used in various applications, from commercial offices to industrial settings, providing optimal illumination while minimizing energy consumption.

One of the main features of Sylvania T5 lamps is their slender design, which is only 5/8 inches in diameter. This compact size allows for sleek fixture designs and is ideal for spaces where traditional lamps might be too large. Additionally, their shorter length provides greater flexibility in installation, allowing them to fit in tight spaces and customized luminaires.

Sylvania T5 lamps excel in energy efficiency. They consume significantly less power compared to standard T8 and T12 fluorescent tubes while delivering similar or superior brightness. This efficiency translates to lower energy bills and reduced carbon footprints, making them an environmentally friendly choice. Moreover, T5 lamps are available in different wattages, typically ranging from 14 watts to 54 watts, catering to various lighting needs.

Another notable characteristic is their high lumen output. Sylvania T5 lamps provide bright and consistent light, making them suitable for applications requiring enhanced visibility. With lumen outputs that can reach up to 5000 lumens, they are designed to ensure effective illumination throughout large spaces. Additionally, they offer various color temperatures, ranging from warm white to cool daylight, allowing users to select the desired ambiance for their environment.

The longevity of Sylvania T5 lamps is another key advantage. They have a rated lifespan of up to 30,000 hours when operating under optimal conditions. This long lifespan reduces the frequency of replacements, minimizing maintenance costs and disruptions.

Sylvania has also integrated advanced technologies into the T5 range. Many models are compatible with electronic ballasts, which enhance performance by providing flicker-free operation and improved energy savings. Furthermore, some designs include features for dimming capabilities, enabling users to adjust light levels according to specific needs and preferences.

In summary, Sylvania T5 fluorescent lamps stand out for their compact size, exceptional energy efficiency, high lumen output, extended lifespan, and compatibility with modern lighting technologies. Their versatility makes them suitable for various applications, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics in residential, commercial, and industrial spaces.
