4Hvis du skal bytte ut en eksisterende harddisk

med SSDen, kobler du fra alle kabler som er koblet til harddisken, før du tar den ut av sporet. Monter SSDen i en 2,5-til-3,5-tommers brakett, og monter deretter braketten i et tomt harddiskspor. Til slutt kobler du til SATA-kabelen og strømledningen.

Merk: Stasjonære PCer kan ha flere SATA- porter, avhengig av PC-brikkesettet og hovedkortmodellen. Samsung anbefaler at SSDen kobles til den SATA 6 Gb/s-porten med lavest nummer.

Selv om SSDen i 830-serien er kompatibel med både SATA 3 Gb/s- og 6 Gb/s-portene, må produktet kobles til en SATA 6 Gb/s-port for maksimal ytelse.

De fleste stasjonære PCer har 4 til 6 SATA- porter, og hver SATA-port er nummerert på hovedkortet.
