Preparation before using your unit

Using standard batteries (not supplied)

1	Attach the external battery pack as
	shown in the picture.

2	Open the cover of the battery
	compartment.

3	Carefully check the correct orientation
	of the positive and negative terminals
	of the batteries.

• Use two AA/LR6 type 1.5 V batteries.

Use two AA/LR6 alkaline batteries.

Manganese batteries have a shorter battery life.

•The battery life-time is based on continuous use.

•These AA/LR6 batteries are alkaline batteries.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.

11• Remove the batteries if they will not be used for a long time.

•Remove the standard batteries when you use an AC adaptor.

•Standard batteries cannot be recharged.

CD Playback

1	Slide the OPEN button to
	open the door.
	Insert a CD.

• Push the door to close it.

2	Press the SEL key to the √» position.
	• Once the CD is recognized,

	• To pause playback,

	press the SEL key to
			PLAY

	• To resume playback,	Playtime Indicator Track Number Indicator
	press the SEL key to
	the √» position again.
3	To stop playback, press the SEL key to the ■
	position.
	• Press and hold the SEL key to the ■ position to
	switch off the unit.

•If no buttons are pressed, the power will autom atically switch off after 15 seconds.

To Adjust the Volume

- Remote Control: Press the SEL button to display volume bar. You can adjust volume level by pressing the SEL key to the left or right.

- Main Unit: Press and hold the SEL key to the left or right to adjust the volume.
