When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

1.Read all instructions before using this appliance.

2.Use fan only for purposes described in the instruction manual.

3.To protect against electrical shock do not immerse unit, plug or cord in water or spray with liquids and plug the appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

4.Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

5.Unplug from outlet when not in use, when moving fan from one location to another, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.

6.Avoid contact with moving parts.

7.Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.

8.To avoid fire hazard, NEVER place the cord under rugs or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance.

9.Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug after the appliance malfunctions, or has been dropped/damaged in any manner.

10.The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.

11.Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter or come in contact with hot surfaces or leave exposed to high traffic areas.

12.Do not use outdoors.

13.To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never yank on cord.

14.Always use on a dry, level surface.

15.Do not operate fan until fully assembled with all parts properly in place.

16.This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for commercial or industrial applications.

17.WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury to persons, do not use in window.

18.WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, DO NOT use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Your table fan comes completely assembled and is ready for immediate use. Carefully unpack your fan, plug it in and enjoy.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1.Set the fan base on a dry, level surface.

2.Plug cord into any standard 120 volt AC outlet. Please make sure the Speed Control Knob (F) is in the OFF (o) position. The Speed Control Knob (F) is located on the top of the Fan Motor Housing.

3.Adjust the speed by turning the speed control knob

(F)to the desired setting, o-III-II-I.

4.The OSCILLATION control knob ( ) (G) is located on the top of the fan motor housing. To start oscillation, push control knob down. To stop oscillation, pull control knob up.

ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Tilt Adjustment:

Loosen the tilt-adjustment knob (H) and move the fan head to the desired angle. Once your fan is at the appropriate angle, tighten the knob by turning clockwise.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE

INSTRUCTIONS

Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your Holmes® table fan. Please remember:

• Always unplug the fan before cleaning or

disassembling.

Step 1: Remove the front grill by expanding the clips located around the perimeter of the grill.

Step 2: Remove the blade by loosening the securing screw.

Step 3: Clean the fan blade, both front and rear grills with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.

Step 4: Replace blade, tighten the fan blade by screwing the fan blade back on, and securely fasten the front grill by closing the clips over the perimeter of the grill.

Fan Head and Base Cleaning

Using a soft, moist cloth, with or without a mild soap solution, carefully clean the fan base and head. Please use caution around the motor housing area. Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to be exposed to water.

FAN STORAGE

When storing your fan in the off season, it is important to keep it in a safe dry location. It is important to protect the fan head from dust. We strongly recommend using the original box from purchase.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO

1.Coloque la base del ventilador en una superficie seca y nivelada.

2.Enchufe el cable en cualquier tomacorriente de 120 voltios de CA. Verifique que el control de velocidad

(F)esté en la posición de apagado (o). El control de velocidad está ubicado en la parte de superior de la cubierta del motor del ventilador.

3.La velocidad se ajusta girando la perilla de control

(F)a la posición deseada, o-III-II-I.

4.La perilla de control de OSCILACIÓN ( ) (G) está ubicada en la parte superior de la cubierta del motor. Para activar la oscilación, presione la perilla de control hacia abajo. Para detener la oscilación, tire de la perilla de control hacia arriba.

Ajuste de Inclinación:

Afloje la perilla de ajuste de inclinación (H) y mueva el cabezal del ventilador al ángulo deseado. Una vez que el ventilador esté en el ángulo deseado, ajuste la perilla girándola en sentido horario.

LIMPIEZA/MANTENIMIENTO

Siga estas instrucciones para cuidar su ventilador Holmes® de forma correcta y segura. Recuerde:

Paso 1: Retire la rejilla delantera abriendo las pinzas que se localizan alrededor del perímetro del rejilla.

Paso 2: Retire la hélice aflojando el tornillo de seguridad.

Paso 3: Limpie las paletas, las rejillas delantera y trasera con un trapo suave humedecido con una solución de detergente suave.

Paso 4: Vuelva a colocar la hélice y apriétela atornillándola en su lugar; luego sujete firmemente la rejilla delantera cerrando las pinzas por encima del perímetro de la rejilla.

Limpieza del cabezal y la base del ventilador

Use un trapo suave húmedo, con o sin una solución de jabón suave, y limpie cuidadosamente la base y el cabezal del ventilador. Tenga cuidado alrededor de la cubierta del motor. No permita que el motor u otros componentes eléctricos entren en contacto con agua.

ALMACENAMIENTO DEL VENTILADOR

Cuando guarde su ventilador fuera de temporada, es importante mantenerlo en un lugar seguro y seco. Es importante proteger el cabezal del ventilador contra el polvo. Recomendamos fuertemente usar la caja original de embalaje.
