TESTING

To test the siren detector, hold down the smoke alarm’s test button until its siren sounds. The indicator on the siren detector flashes briefly and the base sounds an alarm. Press CANCEL on the base to si- lence the base’s alarm.

Notes:

You might have to hold down the smoke alarm’s test button for as long as 15 seconds. The siren detector has a delay function to help prevent false alarms.

We suggest you perform this test once a week to be sure the siren detector operates properly.
