MAINTENANCE

The Aprilaire® Air Cleaner requires no electrical component service, generates no ozone, and is not affected by relative humidity or temperature. The only maintenance required is the periodic replacement of the disposable Aprilaire® Media which the homeowner can do in a few min- utes. The frequency of replacement will vary with operation time, the amount of pollution generated in the home and is affected by: number of people and their activities, the amount of carpeting, pets, size of home, number of smokers, the pollution level of the area. We recommend replacing the media each year. However, if you do not run your blower con- tinuously (24 hours per day, 365 days per year) the media may last up to two years. Air conditioning systems larger than

3.5tons, or heating systems larger than 130,000 BTU’s per hour (1400 cfm), will require more frequent attention if oper- ated continuously.

Always remember that your Aprilaire® Air Cleaner Media is at its lowest efficiency point when it is new. Efficiency increases with usage. There is no efficiency or performance benefit from replacing your media too often.

2250 & 2400 specifications

Aprilaire has long been a leader in indoor air quality solutions, and the Aprilaire 2250 and 2400 models are prime examples of their dedication to innovation and efficiency in whole-house humidification. Each of these models is designed to provide optimal humidity levels, enhancing comfort and protecting your home from the detrimental effects of dry air.

The Aprilaire 2250 is an advanced whole-house evaporative humidifier that offers a capacity of up to 12 gallons of moisture per day. It is ideal for homes up to 4,200 square feet, making it suitable for medium to large residences. One of its standout features is the built-in adjustable humidistat, which allows homeowners to set precise humidity levels according to their preferences. This ensures that the indoor environment remains comfortable throughout the year.

The Aprilaire 2400, on the other hand, is designed for larger homes, capable of handling up to 17 gallons of moisture per day. It is suited for homes up to 6,200 square feet and incorporates advanced features for efficient performance. A significant characteristic of the 2400 model is its self-regulating capabilities, which enable it to adapt to the varying conditions in your home, maintaining consistent humidity levels regardless of changes outside.

Both models utilize evaporative technology, which draws in household air and passes it through a moistened filter. As the air flows through, it absorbs moisture, effectively raising the humidity level before circulating back into the home. This method is energy-efficient and prevents the over-saturation of humidity that can occur with other types of humidifiers.

Additionally, the Aprilaire 2250 and 2400 are equipped with easy-to-clean components, ensuring that maintenance is straightforward. Their durable construction promises longevity, making them a wise investment for homeowners concerned about air quality.

In summary, the Aprilaire 2250 and 2400 models offer advanced features and technologies tailored for comprehensive humidification. With adjustable settings, self-regulating functions, and energy-efficient evaporative technology, both humidifiers stand out in the market. Homeowners can enjoy enhanced comfort while protecting their living spaces, ultimately leading to a healthier indoor environment through optimal humidity control.
