5.7.1 Pre-charging Springs

The springs must be pre-charged with the door curtain in the up position. This pre charge amount is listed on the spring bracket, this should be should be stamped with numbers for example 3 S and 4 T. With S standing for the amount of pre-stretch in inches and T for amount of pre turns. You also stretch the spring at this time; this amount is also located on the same tag. You always charge in the up position as shown in figure 13.
