CO600 specifications

The First Alert CO600 Carbon Monoxide Detector is an essential safety device designed to protect homes and families from the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. This compact and efficient detector features advanced technology aimed at providing timely alerts in the event of hazardous CO levels in the air.

One of the standout features of the CO600 is its reliable electrochemical sensor, which is known for its accuracy in detecting even low levels of carbon monoxide. This type of sensor is sensitive and responds quickly to changes in CO concentration, ensuring that occupants are notified well in advance of any potential dangers.

The CO600 comes equipped with a digital display that continuously monitors CO levels in real-time. This display allows users to track CO concentration and take necessary actions if levels become unsafe. Additionally, the device features a peak level memory that stores the highest concentration of carbon monoxide detected, enabling users to review exposure levels over time.

In terms of installation, the First Alert CO600 is designed for easy use. It can be conveniently mounted on a wall or placed on a tabletop, making it versatile enough for various room configurations. The unit operates on a standard 120-volt power source, and it includes a battery backup to ensure continued operation during power outages.

Another vital characteristic of the CO600 is its sound alarm, which emits a loud 85-decibel alert when dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected. This loud alarm ensures that users will hear it even while sleeping, providing peace of mind in knowing that prompt alerts are in place.

The First Alert CO600 is also equipped with a test/silence button, allowing users to easily test the unit’s functionality and silence false alarms as needed. This is particularly useful in households where cooking or other activities might inadvertently trigger the alarm.

For those concerned about longevity, the CO600 comes with a lifespan of approximately seven years, which is typical for most carbon monoxide detectors. At the end of its life, the unit provides a clear end-of-life signal, prompting users to replace the device.

Overall, the First Alert CO600 carbon monoxide detector blends reliability, ease of use, and advanced sensing technology to deliver essential protection against the silent threat of carbon monoxide poisoning, making it a valuable addition to any home safety plan.
