Communications Module (required) — Provides a single IP addressable network connection for the Electronic Locking

System and is used to setup and configure the system. Each Communications Module can support any combination of up to 64 Electronic Lock Control Modules (512 handles, 256 cabinets), 64 Keypad Modules and 64 Proximity Card Reader Modules. Control

access to equipment with computer terminals using the included lock control software. Provide alarm outputs for unauthorized entries. The software also keeps a log of

each access attempt and all configuration changes.

Electronic Lock Upgrade Kit (required)

— Replace the mechanical lock on the cabinet’s swing handle with an electronic solenoid that releases the spring-loaded handle when the correct code is entered. When the correct code is entered, the

handle springs open allowing the door to be opened.

Electronic Lock Control Module (required) — Connects upgraded electronic locks to the

Electronic Locking System and controls the solenoid that opens the cabinet handles. Each Electronic Lock Control Module connects eight handles (four cabinets) to the system. Each handle can have up to

five access codes and can be assigned to 24 user groups. The Electronic Lock Control

Module also reports the status of the handle (opened or closed).

Keypad Module (recommended) — Enter an authorized access code on the Keypad Module to open a handle. The Keypad Module can be placed on or near the cabinets and can open any of the cabinet handles in the system.

Proximity Card Reader Module (optional) — Use with the Keypad Module. The proximity card acts like a key replacing the access code. The proximity card can be programmed with a specific handle access code or with up to 24 user group codes to open multiple cabinets. Proximity cards can also be programmed

to open handles a specific number of times and to expire at a specific time and date.
