Applying elastic

easy when

using

the

multiple

stitch

zigzag.

Cut

the

elastic

inches

smaller

than

your

waist

measurement.

Overlap

the

raw ends

to

form a

circle and

stitch

with

a

tiny

zigzag to

form

a

box

as shown.

Fold

the

elastic

into

quarters or eighths

and mark with pins. Do the same with

the

waist

line

of

the

garment.

Place

the

elastic

about

1/2

inch

from

the

top

edge of

the

fabric,

matching

the

pins. Place

under

the

presser

foot

and

begin

stitching.
