P180B User’s Manual

The P180B comes without a power supply. Make sure you choose a power supply that is compatible with and has long enough power harnesses to reach your motherboard and peripheral devices. We recommend our TruePower 2.0, Neo HE or Phantom power supplies for the latest ATX specification compliance, wide com- patibility, and power savings capability.

Setting Up

1.Place the case upright on a flat, stable surface.

2.Remove the thumbscrew from the left side panel. Grip the panel at the top and bottom and slide it towards you to open the case. Note: Don’t use your finger- nail to pry or lift the panels.

3.Remove the screws from the right side panel. Grip the panel at the top and bot- tom and slide it towards you to remove.

4.Inside the case you should see two separate chambers - the upper chamber for motherboard, external drives and hard drives; and the lower chamber for power supply and hard drives. You will also find some wiring with marked connectors (USB, PWR etc.), and installed I/O panel, a box containing the top fan spoiler and drive rails for 5.25” drives and floppy disk drive, a tool box attached to the upper HDD cage (the inside of the cage) containing more hardware (screws, brass standoffs, spare silicone grommets, etc.)

Installing the Motherboard

This manual does not cover CPU, RAM, or expansion card installation. Please con- sult your motherboard manual for specific mounting instructions and troubleshooting.

1.Lay the case down, with the open left side facing up. The drive cages and power supply cage should be visible.

2.Make sure you have the correct I/O panel for your motherboard. If the panel provided with the case isn’t suitable, please contact your motherboard manu- facturer for the correct I/O panel.

3.Line up your motherboard with the standoff holes, and remember which holes are lined up. Not all motherboards will match with all the provided holes; this is normal, and won’t affect functionally. (In other words, there will likely be extra holes.)

4.Remove your motherboard by lifting it up.

5.Screw the brass standoffs into the threaded holes that line up with your moth- erboard. Do not over-tighten the standoffs. Some standoffs may be pre-installed for your convenience.

P180B Fan specifications

The Antec P180B is a well-regarded mid-tower case that has been a favorite among PC enthusiasts for its innovative design and efficient cooling capabilities. Renowned for its sleek, modern aesthetics, the P180B features a brushed aluminum front panel and a substantial steel chassis, providing durability and an attractive finish suitable for various settings.

One of the main features of the P180B is its three separate compartments designed for the power supply, hard drives, and motherboard. This compartmentalization not only enhances the overall airflow, but also minimizes noise levels by isolating the power supply and hard drives from the main system components. This innovative layout contributes to a cleaner look and optimized thermal performance.

The P180B is equipped with an advanced cooling system. It comes with three fans: two 120mm rear exhaust fans and one 120mm front intake fan, all equipped with Antec's innovative airflow management technologies. The design also allows for optional additional cooling solutions; users can install up to seven fans, ensuring that air circulation is maximized, effectively keeping the system cool even under heavy loads. The fan speed can be controlled through built-in fan headers on the motherboard, giving users flexibility in balancing performance and noise levels.

Another notable feature of the P180B is its easy-to-access drive bays, supporting up to four 3.5-inch hard drives and a multitude of 5.25-inch devices. The drive bays are tool-less, allowing for quick installation and removal, which is a significant advantage for users who frequently upgrade their components.

Additionally, the P180B supports a wide range of components, including graphics cards up to 12.5 inches in length, making it suitable for high-performance builds. It also supports advanced cooling solutions, including large CPU coolers and even water cooling configurations, further enhancing its versatility as a gaming or workstation case.

The P180B’s design does not skimp on user experience; features like removable dust filters and cable management options simplify maintenance and organization. Overall, the Antec P180B stands out in the market as a case that combines functional design, excellent cooling performance, and aesthetic appeal, making it an ideal choice for both gamers and professionals.
