Filters and blockages

Ensure the pre-filter is changed regularly. If filters block, the cleaner may overheat and cut out. The Dyson DC03 has a built in motor protection thermostat to protect the appliance in the event of a restriction to airflow. Unplug cleaner. Leave for 30 minutes. Fit a new pre-filter before use.

NB If the cleaner is still blocked lift out the post-filter and check inside for dust caking.

1 Rotate twist ring to the left to release	3 Lift out pre-filter using handle
filter case.	(replace at least every 12 months).

2Remove filter case from machine body.

4Replace filter case and rotate twist ring down and to the right to secure.

1Using a coin, undo the yellow fastener to remove the quick release window. Check for blockage at the bottom of the duct and underneath the soleplate.

2Remove wand from hose and look down the wand to check for daylight. Locate blockage removal cassette catch at base of hose location.

3Pull back catch, remove cassette and check for blockage. To replace, position at 450 and click catch back into place.

4Remove Cyclone assembly to check Cyclone entry and duct.
