Maintenance Schedule

Make sure vacuum cleaner is turned off and power cord is unplugged when performing any maintenance.

For maintenance information, see maintenance section in this guide, see backside of dust cup or visit www.eureka.com. Maintenance not described must be performed by an authorized dealer.

DUST CUP – Empty after each use

FILTER DCF26 – Replace or clean regularly to maintain suction

U BELT – Check and replace if worn, cut or out of shape

BRUSHROLL – Clean monthly

Thermal Cutoff

This vacuum cleaner has a special thermostat that protects the vacuum in case of motor overheating.

If the vacuum suddenly shuts off proceed as follows:

1)Push the on/off switch off (l) and unplug the vacuum.

2)Check the vacuum for a possible source of overheating such as a full dust cup, a blocked hose or clogged filter. If these conditions are found, fix them and wait at least 30 minutes before attempting to use the vacuum.

3)After the 30 minute period, plug the vacuum back in and push the on/off switch on (l). If the vacuum still does not work, call the Eureka customer service helpline.

Interrupción térmica

Esta aspiradora tiene un termostato especial que la protege en caso de haber un recalentamiento del motor.

Si la aspiradora se apaga súbitamente, haga lo siguiente:

1)Oprima el interruptor de encendido/apagado (l) y desconecte la aspiradora.

2)Verifique si hay una fuente probable de recalentamiento, como el cubo guardapolvo lleno, una manguera obstruida o un filtro tapado. Si detectan estas condiciones, arréglelas y espere al menos 30 minutos antes de volver a utilizar la aspiradora.

3)Después del lapso de 30 minutos, enchufe la aspiradora y presione el interruptor de encendido-apagado para encenderla (l). Si la aspiradora sigue sin funcionar, llame a la línea directa de servicio al cliente de Eureka.

FILTRE DCF26 – Remplacer ou nettoyer régulièrement pour conserver le niveau de succion

COURROIE ‘U’ – Contrôler et remplacer si usée, fissurée ou déformée

ROULEAU-BROSSE – Nettoyer une fois par mois

Protection thermique

Cet aspirateur est équipé d’un thermostat spécial qui le protège en cas de surchauffe du moteur.

Si l’aspirateur arrête soudainement suivre la procédure suivante :

1)Actionner le commutateur de marche/arrêt pour qu’il soit en position d’arrêt (0) et débrancher le cordon.

2)Vérifier l’aspirateur pour détecter une source possible de surchauffe comme un bac à poussière plein, un tuyau bloqué ou un filtre entravé. Si ces conditions sont trouvées, les enrayer et attendre au moins 30 minutes avant de tenter de réutiliser l’aspirateur.

3)Après la période de 30 minutes, brancher l’aspirateur et actionner le commutateur (bouton marche/arrêt (I)). Si l’aspirateur ne fonctionne toujours pas, composer le numéro du service à la clientèle Eureka.
