SET SALT LEVEL

To set this monitor system, lift the SETSALTLEVEL salt hole cover and level the salt in

the storage tank. The salt level de-

cal, on the brinewell inside the

tank, has numbers from 0 to 8.

Observe the highest number the leveled salt is at, or closest to. Press SELECT once to get to the Set Salt Level screen. Now press the UP or DOWN buttons

until the number corresponds with the salt level

number. At level 2 or below, the indicator LED will flash. If you wish to turn this feature off, press the DOWN button past 0, and the word "OFF" flashes

in the display. Note: You must set salt level each time salt is added to the water softener.

PROGRAM MEMORY

If electrical power to the softener goes off, the time display is blank but the face plate timer keeps the correct time for about 6 hours. When electrical pow- er comes on again, you have to reset the present

time only if the display is flashing. The HARD-

NESS, RECHARGE TIME and SALT LEVEL never

require resetting unless a change is desired. Even if the timer is incorrect after a long power outage, the softener works as it should to keep your water soft.

However, regenerations may occur at the wrong time of day until you reset the timer to the correct time of day.

625.38817, 625.38818 specifications

The Kenmore 625.38817 and 625.38818 are two top-tier water softeners that stand out in their category for their innovative features and reliable performance. Both models effectively address hard water issues, which can cause scale build-up in pipes and on fixtures, leading to diminished appliance efficiency and lifespan.

One of the main features of the Kenmore 625.38817 and 625.38818 is their efficient ion-exchange technology. This process utilizes sodium ions to replace the hard minerals, such as calcium and magnesium, present in the water supply. As a result, users experience softer water that is gentler on their skin and hair, as well as improved soap and detergent performance when washing clothes or dishes.

Another notable characteristic of these models is their capacity. The 625.38817 features a 30,000-grain capacity, while the 625.38818 offers an even larger 40,000-grain capacity. This allows households with different water usage levels to find an appropriate fit. The larger capacity model is particularly well-suited for bigger families or those who frequently use large amounts of water.

Both models also come with a demand-initiated regeneration system. This technology ensures that the water softener only regenerates when necessary, based on the actual water usage. This feature not only conserves water and salt but also enhances the overall efficiency of the system, reducing operating costs.

Additionally, the digital control panel on both models makes it easy to monitor settings and adjust them as needed. Users can accurately track their remaining salt levels and receive alerts when it’s time to replenish. The simple interface ensures ease of use for all members of the household, regardless of their technical expertise.

The Kenmore 625.38817 and 625.38818 are also designed with robust construction, ensuring long-lasting durability. Their compact design allows for installation in various spaces, making them versatile enough to fit into most homes.

In conclusion, the Kenmore 625.38817 and 625.38818 water softeners offer compelling features, advanced technologies, and remarkable efficiency. With their effective ion-exchange systems, demand-initiated regeneration, and user-friendly controls, these models provide practical solutions for homeowners looking to tackle hard water issues without compromising on quality or convenience.
