Turn the water off at the main.

Remove the handle.

Hold the thermoelement steady with a 36 mm wrench. Use a 24 mm wrench to unscrew the ther- mostat cartridge from the thermoelement.

Clean the filter screens under running water. An old toothbrush may be used if care is taken not to dam- age the filter screens.
