HD7612 only:

Wash the inside of the Thermos carafe using a soft brush, hot water and detergent.

After cleaning, rinse the Thermos carafe with fresh hot water. Do not clean in a dishwasher or submerge or immerse in water. TIP: to remove any stubborn brown deposit, just put a spoonful of baking soda with hot water into the carafe. Allow it to act for some time. After this, you can easily wipe the deposit away with the brush.

Descaling

Regular descaling will prolong the life of your appliance and will guarantee optimal brewing results for a long time.

In case of normal use:

2 or 3 times a year if you are using soft water.

4 to 5 times a year if you are using hard water.

1Fill the water reservoir with white vinegar. Do not put a filter or coffee in the brew basket.

2Let the appliance complete two runs. Do not pour hot vinegar back into the water reservoir. Allow it to cool first. After the second run, discard vinegar.

3Complete two more flushing cycles with clean water to rinse away all vinegar residues.

4Clean the separate parts.
