IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

Do not touch hot surfaces or hot water. Use handles or knobs. Care must be taken as burns can occur from touching spilled hot liquids.

To protect against fire, electric shock or injury, do not place cord, plug, or base in water or other liquid.

To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove bottom cover from base. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done by authorized service personnel only.

Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

Kettle must be operated on a flat surface away from the edge of counter to prevent accidental tipping.

To protect against electric shock, ALWAYS unplug from outlet when not in use, and before cleaning. To prevent burns, allow to cool before cleaning.

Do not operate dry. Do not use for other than heating water. Other foods or liquids will contaminate the interior and void the warranty.

To disconnect, remove plug from outlet. Do not yank on cord as it may damage cord and eventually cause electric shock.

Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. If the product requires attention within the warranty period, call the toll-free number listed on the cover of this manual for information on examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

To avoid an electrical overload, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit.

The use of an accessory attachment not approved by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury.

Do not use outdoors.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.

Do not fill the kettle while it is seated on the power Base. Be sure to unplug it before it boils dry. Never operate the kettle dry.
