Frothing Tips
•Cold milk is the easiest to froth. Luke warm milk may be used, however, there will be about half the amount of froth produced.
•Frothing is easier with smaller quantities of milk – usually no more than
½ cup.
•Skim milk is easiest to froth, although whole milk will provide the best taste.
•When frothing whole milk, frothing may take longer; for easier frothing, use smaller quantities.
Coffee Drinks
•A variety of delicious coffee drinks can be made using frothed milk by combining with espresso.
•Traditionally, cappuccino is ⅓ espresso, ⅓ steamed milk and ⅓ foam.
•A café latte is cappuccino with two to three times as much frothed milk.
•To make café mocha, add 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup to the milk and froth or simply add the chocolate syrup to the coffee.
•Regular brewed coffee may also be used in place of espresso, if desired.
•Sprinkle shaved chocolate, ground cinnamon, nutmeg or cocoa powder on top of cappuccino.
•Serve cinnamon sticks as stirrers to add a new flavor.
