Besidesusingtheventilationsystemto removecookingvaporsand fumes,it can beusedtocoolbakedpies,cakesorhotpans.To coolan item,set it ontheairgrille andturnonthefan. The airbeingpulledoverthe itemwillquicklycoolit. Be careful notto coverthe entireair grille.

The fan can be usedto removestrongodorsfromthe kitchenas whenchopping onionsnearthe fan.

Air Grille

The airgrilleliftsoffeasily. Wipecleanor washin sinkwithmildhouseholddetergents. It may be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Filter

Turn offventilationsystembeforeremoving. Thefilter is a permanenttype andshouldbe cleanedwhensoiled. Clean

in sinkwithwarmwaterandliquiddishwashingdetergentor in the dishwasher.

Important: DO NOT OPERATE SYSTEM WITHOUT FIL- TER. Filtershouldalwaysbe placedat anangle. Asyouface the frontofthe cooktop,the bottomof the filter shouldrest on the ledgeonthe leftside. The top of thefiltershouldrest againstthe rightside.Thereare alsoledgesonthe frontand rearsidesforthefiltertorest.(Note: Iffilterisflatagainstthe fan wall, ventilationeffectivenessis reduced.)

Ventilation Chamber

Thisarea, whichhousesthefilter, shouldbe cleanedinthe eventof spillsor whenever it becomescoatedwitha filmofgrease. Itmaybecleanedwithpapertowel,dampcloth or sponge and mild householddetergent or cleanser. (Note: For easier cleaning, removethe basin pans.)
