Before using your coffee maker for the first time please read these safeguards.

1Remove all packaging and retain for future use.

2Disconnect the coffee maker from the mains supply when filling or not in use.

3Ensure coffee maker is used on a firm flat surface.

4Never use warm or hot water to fill the water reservoir.

5Ensure the lid of the glass jug is securely in place before pouring.

6Take care to pour hot coffee slowly and carefully without tipping the glass jug too fast.

7Do not place the glass jug on the hot plate unless the lid is in position.

8Keep the outside of the coffee maker and hot plate area clean and dry at all times.

9Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use handles.

10Make sure that small children cannot reach the coffee maker and that the mains lead does not hang over the edge of the work surface. Ensure that children are aware of the dangers of boiling water and supervise them carefully.

11Do not fill above the max mark of the water level gauge marked on the jug.

12Do not immerse the coffee maker itself in water and always ensure the electrical connections are kept dry.

13Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Ring the helpline number for advice on

examination and repair.

14The use of attachments or tools not recommended or sold by Morphy Richards may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
