DESCRIPTION

The Extron DA AV EQ Series are high performance distribution amplifiers designed to split and extend composite video and audio signals over long cable runs while maintaining the quality and strength of a signal source.

The DA AV EQ Series includes six distribution amplifiers for composite video and audio signals. With 150 MHz (-3dB) video bandwidth, fully loaded, five models feature gain adjustments to allow for compensation of signal level loss that occurs over long cable runs, while the EQ adjustments compensates for high frequency loss. All video models are compatible with NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video signals, and allow for cable runs of 600 feet (180 meters) to 1,000 feet (300 meters) or more, depending on the quality of the coax cable. Each video model also includes input loop-through capabilities, which enables users to add more amplifiers and create a larger DA system or drive a local monitor.

Composite Video Only Models

All video inputs and outputs are on female BNC connectors.

Composite Video and Stereo Audio Models

All video inputs and outputs are on female BNC connectors. The DA 3AV RCA and DA 6AV RCA EQ accept and distribute unbalanced stereo audio on RCA jacks, while the DA 6AV EQ features balanced/unbalanced stereo audio inputs and outputs on captive screw connectors.

Housed in durable and compact half-rack metal enclosures, the DA AV EQ Series is designed for easy integration into both new and existing A/V systems including boardrooms, training facilities, home theater, command and control centers, and rental and staging environments.

DA AV EQ Series specifications

Extron Electronics has long been recognized as a leader in the field of audio visual equipment, and their DA AV EQ Series exemplifies this commitment to innovation and performance. Designed for professional AV environments, the DA AV EQ Series offers a range of distribution amplifiers and audio equalizers that ensure optimal signal quality and integrity in various applications.

One of the main features of the DA AV EQ Series is its advanced audio equalization capabilities. Each unit is equipped with sophisticated equalization circuits that allow audio engineers to fine-tune sound performance to suit the specific acoustics of a room. This flexibility helps mitigate any issues related to audio feedback and enhances overall clarity, providing an exceptional listening experience.

In terms of build quality, the DA AV EQ Series is engineered to withstand the demanding conditions of professional AV setups. The robust housing protects the sensitive internal components, ensuring reliability and durability in commercial environments, such as conference rooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums. Moreover, the devices offer multiple mounting options, making them easy to install in a variety of locations.

The DA AV EQ Series also features Extron's patented ESD protection technology, which safeguards against electrostatic discharge that can damage audio equipment. This is particularly crucial for installations where equipment is frequently connected and disconnected. Additionally, the series is designed with user-friendly interfaces that facilitate quick adjustments and monitoring, allowing technicians to easily make changes on-the-fly.

Networking capabilities are another hallmark of the DA AV EQ Series. Certain models support AV over IP, making it easier to route audio signals across complex AV networks while maintaining pristine sound quality. This feature is especially valuable in large installations where distances between components can introduce signal degradation.

Furthermore, the DA AV EQ Series boasts exceptional low distortion levels and wide dynamic range, ensuring that audio signals retain their integrity from source to output. This is essential for professional applications requiring precise audio reproduction, such as live events and studio recordings.

In summary, Extron's DA AV EQ Series combines advanced audio equalization, robust build quality, state-of-the-art protection features, user-friendly interfaces, and excellent networking capabilities, making it an ideal choice for any professional AV installation. With this series, users can expect reliable performance and unmatched audio fidelity, ensuring that their AV systems operate at peak efficiency.
