Installation

Recirculation connection

Recirculation mode is used when venting to the outside of the building is not possible.

^Slide the diverter on to the brackets of plate B.

^Slip the hose clamps over the flex hose onto the diverter and the motor assembly exhaust connection. Once in place, tighten the hose clamps.

Active charcoal filters must be used in the recirculation mode.

Attaching the chimney extension

The use of a chimney extension, allows the hood to be installed at various distances from the ceiling.

NOTE: The extension must be intalled in relationship to the method of venting; Extraction or Recirculation.

Air extraction

The extension piece has vented openings on one end.

These vents are required for recir- culation mode and will be closest to the ceiling when installed.

For air extraction, the vents are not required and are covered by the chimney.
