SPOTS AND FILMING ON GLASSES AND FLATWARE

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Cycle Indicator Did must be 0~ for cup lid to close and latch properly. If you unlatch the door and open it to dry your dishes, the Cycle Indicator Dial does not advance by itself.

Tea or coffee can stain cups. Remove the stain by hand, using a solution of 1/2 cup bleach and 3 cups warm water.

An overall yellow or brown film on dishes or glassware can be caused by iron deposits in water. A special filter in the water supply line is the only way to correct this problem. Your water softener company can tell you about the filter.

Yellow film on sterling silver results when you wash copper utensils in the same load. Silver polish will usually remove this stain.

Spotting can be caused by dl these things:

Extremely hard water. (See How to Choose and Use Detergent section).

Low inlet water temperature. (See How to Test Water Temperature section). Q Overloading the dishwasher.

Improper loading. (See Loading section).

Old or damp powder detergent.

Phosphate level in detergent too low. (See How to Choose and Use Detergent section).

Rinse agent dispenser empty. (See How to Use a Rinse Agent section).

. Too little detergent. (See How to Choose and Use Detergent section).

Local water conditions and personal preferences vary. Try several brands of detergents to find one that gives the best results for you. A liquid dishwasher detergent may help reduce filming.

To remove stubborn spoh and film from glassware:

1.Remove all metal utensils from the dishwasher.

2.Do not add detergent.

3.Select POTSCRUBBER cycle.

4.Start the dishwasher and allow to run for 18 to 22 minutes. The dishwasher will now be in the main wash.

5.Then open the door and pour 2 cups (500 ml) of white vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher.

6.Close the door and &low to complete the cycle.

If vinegar rinse doesn’t work: Repeat as above, except use 1/4 cup (60 ml) of citric acid crystals instead of vinegar. (Most drugstores carry citric acid crystals. If yours doesn’t, call GE Factory Service).

Using a vinegar or citric acid crystal rinse more than twice a month? Consider a home water softener.

The GE GSD940P, also known as GSD940, is a powerful and versatile dishwasher that stands out in the crowded appliance market. This model is particularly known for its user-friendly features and efficient cleaning capabilities. With a sleek design and robust performance, the GSD940P is tailored to meet the needs of modern households, making it a favorite among consumers.

One of the main features of the GE GSD940P is its large capacity. It provides ample space for up to 14 place settings, allowing families and entertainers to clean a significant amount of dishes in one cycle. This is complemented by the adjustable upper rack, which can be repositioned to accommodate taller items like pots and large plates. The thoughtful organization of the interior ensures that every dish has a place, optimizing space for efficiency.

In terms of cleaning technology, the GSD940P incorporates the innovative Piranha™ hard food disposer. This self-cleaning filter minimizes food particles’ clogs and ensures that dishes come out spotless. The dishwasher also features a dual-stage filtration system that effectively removes debris while being environmentally friendly, reducing water usage.

The GSD940P employs a range of wash cycles to tackle different cleaning needs. Options include Heavy, Normal, and Quick rinse cycles, adjustable based on the soil level of the dishes. Additionally, the Smart Wash feature cleverly senses the amount of soil on the dishes and adjusts the cycle accordingly, ensuring optimal cleaning with minimal water and energy consumption.

Another key characteristic of this model is its QuietPower™ technology. The GSD940P operates at a near-silent level, making it ideal for open-concept living spaces or late-night washes without disturbing the household. It has a decibel rating that competes with much higher-end models, making it a significant benefit for those seeking a quiet appliance.

Furthermore, the GSD940P is designed with convenience in mind. The one-touch controls allow users to easily select cycles without confusion, and the Delay Start option permits scheduling washes to fit into busy lifestyles.

Overall, the GE GSD940P is a well-rounded dishwasher that seamlessly blends advanced technology with practical features, ensuring sparkling clean dishes while complementing the modern kitchen aesthetic. Its reliability, efficiency, and ease of use make it a top choice for consumers looking for a high-quality dishwasher.
