Maintenance and Cleaning

You must disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply, before you can carry out any

cleaning or maintenance work.

Defrosting

Defrosting is automatic in this appliance.

Regular cleaning

Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply, before you carry out any cleaning or maintenance work.

Clean the equipment regularly.

Do not use detergents, abrasive or strongly odorous cleaners, waxy polishing agents, disinfectants or alcoholic products for cleaning the

equipment.

Pull out the wall plug of the equipment from the outlet.

Internal cleaning

Clean the internal parts of the equipment and the accessories with warm water and Bicarbonate of Soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).

Rinse and dry everything thoroughly. Clean the door seal with clean water.

External cleaning

Clean the external parts of the equipment with warm water and Bicarbonate of Soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).

Dust will build up on the condenser (the black grill at the back of the appliance) and the reservoir; this can inhibit the efficiency of the fridge freezer. It is recommended to clean both on a six monthly basis.

After cleaning, reconnect the equipment to the mains supply.

Changing the Carbon Filter

To maintain the best performance the carbon filter should be changed every year.

New carbon filters can be purchased from your local dealer.

1.Pull the flap outwards. (1)

2.Remove the filter from the plastic bag.

3.Insert the filter in the slot found in the back of the flap cover (2).

4.Close the flap cover.

Note: the carbon filter is a consumable accessory and as such is not covered by the guarantee.

During operation, always keep the air ventilation flap closed.

The filter should be handled carefully so fragments do not loosen from the surface.

These appliances reflect John Lewis's commitment to high-quality home products, offering consumers reliable performance along with a sleek aesthetic.

Starting with the JLSS1808, this upright refrigerator offers a generous 304 liters of storage capacity, making it an excellent choice for families and avid cooks. The adjustable shelves are crafted from toughened glass, allowing you to configure the space as per your needs. The model is equipped with an advanced cooling system that maintains an optimal temperature, ensuring that food stays fresher for longer periods. One of the standout features is its No Frost technology, which eliminates the need for manual defrosting and prevents ice buildup, offering both convenience and lower energy consumption.

On the other hand, the JLFFW1807 combines a spacious freezer with an equally impressive refrigerator section. With a total capacity of 263 liters, including a 90-liter freezer, it is designed to meet the diverse requirements of modern households. This model also features a holiday setting, which allows users to save energy when the appliance is not in frequent use. Another significant characteristic of the JLFFW1807 is its versatile shelving system, including adjustable shelves and door compartments, that maximize the storage capability while providing easy access to frequently used items.

Both models come with innovative technologies such as intelligent temperature control and rapid cooling functions. The temperature control system utilizes precise sensors to monitor and maintain the internal conditions, safeguarding food quality. Rapid cooling functions are especially useful when newly purchased groceries are added, quickly bringing their temperature down to preserve freshness.

In terms of energy efficiency, both models typically boast an A+ rating, aligning with modern standards for eco-conscious consumers. This rating indicates a significant reduction in power consumption, contributing to lower electricity bills.
