Crème Brûlée

Ingredientes:

3 huevos, batidos ligeramente 1/4 de taza de azúcar

2 tazas de crema baja en grasa

1/2 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla 1/2 de taza de azúcar moreno

Instrucciones:

En una taza mediana, mezcle los huevos y el azúcar hasta que quede una mezcla suave; deje reposar.

En la parte superior de la cacerola para baño maría, sobre agua hirviendo a fuego suave, caliente la crema hasta que comiencen a salir burbujas en los bordes. Quite del fuego y bata de a poco junto a la mezcla del huevo hasta que esté homogénea. Vuelva a poner la mezcla en la cacerola para baño María y cocine, removiendo constantemente, hasta que la mezcla espese lo suficiente como para cubrir la parte de atrás de una cuchara de metal. Cocine otros 2 minutos y luego quite del fuego. Enfríe completamente. Añada la vainilla.

Precaliente la rejilla para dorar del horno.

Vierta la mezcla fría en un molde para hornear poco profundo de 1/4 de galón y ponga el molde en un baño de hielo, en un molde más grande, que sirva para el horno. Espolvoree azúcar moreno sobre la superficie de la mezcla y ponga bajo la rejilla para dorar calentada con anterioridad de 1 a 2 minutos, hasta que la parte superior se dore ligeramente y le salgan pequeñas burbujas.
