3.If a long cord or extension cord is used temporarily, (a) the marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, (b) the extension cord must be a grounding-type, 3-wire cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug and a 3-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on

the appliance, and (c) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.

4.A qualified electrician must install a properly grounded and polarized 3-prong receptacle near the appliance.
