SOMETHING NOT WORKING?
Before calling an Engineer please carry out the following checks, you may be able to solve the problem without the expense of an Engineer.
If our Service Engineer finds that the problem is listed below you will be charged for the call whether or not the appliance is under guarantee.
The appliance does not work at all:
*Check that the appliance has been wired in and is switched on at the wall.
*Check that the main appliance fuse is working.
*Check that the timer is set to manual (see page 8).
The grill works but the top oven does not:
*Check that the top oven door is closing properly.
The oven temperature is too high or low:
*Check that the recommended temperatures are being used (see page 18). Be prepared to adjust the temperature up or down by 10°C to achieve the results you want.
The ovens work but the grill does not:
*Check that you have carefully followed the instructions for operation of the grill.
*If the cooling fan fails the grill will not operate correctly.
Please call your local Service Force Centre.
If the oven is not cooking evenly or the side opening door will not stay open:
* Check that the appliance is level.
The oven light fails to illuminate:
*Check that the appliance is not set for automatic cooking. The light will illuminate when the cook time begins.
*If you have had your appliance for several months you may need to replace a light bulb (see page 24).
The oven fan is noisy:
*Check that the oven is level.
*Check that bakeware and shelves are not vibrating in contact with the back panel in the oven.
The hob burners will not light:
*Ensure the burner parts have been placed correctly. (See page 21).
*Check that there is not a problem with your gas supply. You can do this by making sure that other gas appliances such as central heating or gas fire are working.
