D660S specifications

The AKG Acoustics D660S is a highly regarded dynamic vocal microphone, well-known for its exceptional performance in both live and studio environments. This microphone is designed to cater to the needs of vocalists and audio professionals seeking clarity and precision in sound reproduction.

One of the standout features of the D660S is its superior frequency response. With a range that extends from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, it captures the full spectrum of vocal tones, ensuring that even the subtlest nuances are faithfully reproduced. This broader frequency range allows for rich bass response and clear, crisp highs, making it an excellent choice for various musical genres.

The D660S employs an advanced cardioid polar pattern, which is instrumental in isolating the desired sound source while minimizing unwanted background noise. This design allows performers to focus on their vocal delivery, regardless of the surrounding environment. The microphone excels in live settings, effectively reducing feedback and ensuring that the audience hears the performance without interference.

Another notable characteristic of the D660S is its robust construction. Built to withstand the rigors of frequent use, the microphone features a durable metal body that can endure the inevitable bumps and knocks associated with both live performances and studio recordings. This durability is complemented by an internal shock mount system that helps to reduce handling noise, ensuring clarity in every recording.

In terms of technology, the AKG Acoustics D660S is equipped with a high-performance dynamic transducer that provides a powerful output level without requiring excessive preamplification. This efficiency ensures that it can be used with a wide range of audio equipment, making it versatile for different setups.

The microphone also includes a built-in windscreen to reduce plosive sounds and prevent wind noise during outdoor performances. This thoughtful design feature allows for a more polished sound, enabling vocalists to perform confidently in varying conditions.

Overall, the AKG Acoustics D660S microphone combines exceptional sound quality, innovative design, and robust build to meet the demands of both professional and amateur vocalists. Its ability to deliver outstanding performance across various applications makes it a preferred choice for many audio engineers and musicians alike.
