use permanentdamage.

Thespecialcoatingisaporous ceramicmaterialwhichis dark in colorand feelsslightlyroughto the touch.If magnified,thesurface wouldappearas peaks,vallcys,and sub-surface“tunnekl’Thisrough finishtendsto preventgrease spattersfromforminglittlebeads or dropletswhichrun downthe sidewallsof a hard-suri%ceoven linerleavingunsightlystreaksthat requirehandcleaning.Instead, whenspatterhitsthe porousfinish, it is dispersedandis partially absorbed.This spreadingaction increasestheexposureof oven soilto heatedair, andmakesit somewhatlessnoticeable.
