El Monóxido de Carbono es un peligro posible cuando use cualquier electrodoméstico a gas.

La Asociación Americana de Gas publica las emisiones de CO para electrodomésticos y equipos de calefacción a través del ANSI Std. Z21.1

La Agencia de Protección Ambiental EPA reporta que un nivel máximo de CO de 9 PPM en un periodo de 24 horas es el nivel estándar para el interior de una residencia.

(Un hogar ventilado apropiadamente tendrá un nivel de CO de menos de 5 PPM.)
