Cuidado y limpieza

Uso inicial: Antes de utilizar su nueva Cafetera de 12 Tazas West Bend® por primera vez, asegúrese de lavar a fondo la jarra de vidrio y el portafiltros con agua caliente y jabonosa. Enjuague y seque. Enjuague bien el filtro reutilizable con AGUA CALIENTE SOLAMENTE, porque los residuos de jabón dejarán un gusto en el café. Limpie la parte exterior de la unidad con un paño húmedo para quitar el polvo y residuos del embalaje. Haga funcionar una vez únicamente con agua. Siga las instrucciones de la página #4, deje de lado el café y utilice únicamente agua.

Después de cada uso

1.Antes de limpiarla, asegúrese de que la unidad esté apagada y desenchufada.

2.Retire el portafiltros y tire los granos de café y el filtro desechable, si usa uno.

3.Para limpiar la jarra y el portafiltros, lávelos con agua jabonosa caliente, enjuague y seque. NO LAVE LOS COMPONENTES EN EL LAVAVAJILLAS. Cuando limpie la jarra, no utilice materiales abrasivos, ya que ellos pueden dañarla.

4.Enjuague a fondo el filtro reutilizable solamente con agua caliente.

5.Cuando todas las piezas estén limpias, vuelva a colocar la jarra y el portafiltros con un filtro desechable en la unidad.

6.Para limpiar la parte exterior de la unidad, pásele un paño húmedo.

NO SUMERJA LA UNIDAD EN AGUA.

Limpieza profunda: Se recomienda la limpieza profunda de su unidad una vez por mes. Los minera les depositados pueden acumularse en el recipiente con el tiempo, ocasio-nan do un enlentecimiento del proceso y una disminución del sabor del café.

1.Para limpiar, levante la tapa de su cafetera y vuelque una medida de vinagre blanco en el recipiente de agua.

2.Ponga un filtro en el portafiltros – no agregue café. Mueva el cabezal de agua hacia adelante sobre el portafiltros hasta que haga un clic y cierre la tapa. Ponga el interruptor en la posición “ON.” Una luz azul se encenderá.

3.Complete un ciclo haciendo pasar vinagre blanco. Cuando el ciclo finalice, vacíe el contenido de la jarra.

4.Retire la jarra de la unidad y llénela con 12 tazas de agua fría.Vierta el agua enel recipiente y repita el proceso usando un nuevo filtro desechable o limpie el filtro reutilizable. No agregue café; use solamente agua limpia. Una vez que el ciclo haya finalizado, ponga el interruptor en “OFF,” desconecte la unidad y tire el contenido de la jarra.

5.Lave la jarra y el portafiltros con agua jabonosa caliente, enjuague y seque. Enjuague el filtro reutilizable solamente con agua caliente. Vuelva a ponerlo en la unidad.

6.Cuando la unidad se haya enfriado, limpie la parte exterior con un paño húmedo. Ahora su unidad está limpia y lista para ser utilizada.
