Using Your Percolator

.To make coffee, remove cover, spreader, basket and stem. Fill percolator to desired cup level with cold fresh water.

.Wet basket to keep coffee grounds from sifting through. Place basket on stem. Hold top of stem and place stem and basket into heating unit well. IF THE STEM IS NOT SEATED PROPERLY IN THE HEATING WELL, THE PERCOLATOR WILL NOT PERK.

.Add desired amount of regular or percolator grind coffee to basket (refer to chart), spreading evenly. Place spreader onto basket. Note: A finely ground coffee may cause the coffee basket to overflow.

.Place cover onto the percolator until it snaps close. Caution: Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during the brewing cycle.

.Plug the cord into the percolator then plug the cord into electrical outlet. The unit will automatically turn on.

.The percolator will stop when the coffee has finished brewing, ready light will turn on. (Brew time is approximately 1 minute per cup.)

.The percolator will remain at serving temperature until it is unplugged.

.When approximately 1cup remains, unplug cord from electrical outlet and remove cord from percolator. Allow percolator to cool completely before cleaning.
