2)Place paper, permanent or gold tone filter into the removable filter insert and close the brew basket.

3)Place the empty decanter on the warming plate.

Make sure to fully place the decanter on the warming plate to avoid the possibility of overflow.

4)Start the brew cycle. See Page 10 for “Brewing Coffee Now.”

For Switch Models:

•Push the ON/OFF switch so the light illuminates (to begin the brew cycle).

For Programmable Models:

•Push the On button to begin the brew cycle.

a. When half of the vinegar has flowed into the decanter, turn the coffeemaker

Off and let the vinegar stand for 30 minutes. Then, turn coffeemaker on and let cycle complete.

b. Repeat Steps 1 – 4.
