IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, includ- ing the following:
■Read all instructions carefully.
■Do not touch hot surfaces - use handles or knobs.
■To protect against electrical hazards, do not allow water or other liquids to spill onto the plug or cord, or to enter the switch mecha- nism or power cord inlet socket. Do not immerse cord, plug, or the outer pot in water or other liquids.
■Always use Rice Cooker on a dry, level sur- face. Never put liquid into the outer pot, only into the inner pot.
■Lift and open Lid carefully to avoid scalding, and allow water to drip into rice cooker.
■Never plug in without the inner pot inside the outer pot.
■Close supervision is necessary when an electrical appliance is used by, or near chil- dren.
■The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
■Unplug from outlet when not in use; allow to cool before disassembling parts and before cleaning.
■Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water or other liquids.
■Do not use outdoors.
■Do not operate any appliance with a dam- aged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped, or dam- aged in any manner. Return the complete appliance to your nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
■Do not place any part of this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
■To disconnect, raise the lever to “WARM” then remove plug from outlet.
■Do not allow cord to hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
■Keep the space between the inner bowl and the heating plate clean and free form any foreign particles.
■Do not use appliance for other than intend- ed use of food preparation and service. This appliance is intended for household use only.
