CEILING SYSTEMS

Seismically qualified

FlexHead flexible sprinkler connections allow for independent movement between sub-mains and ceilings. Armstrong and FlexHead have tested this system at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY). They’re qualified for use in Seismic Design Categories C, D, E and F. They meet all International Building Code requirements without needing an unsightly oversized ring, sleeve or adaptor where the ceiling meets the sprinkler head. FlexHead connections are FM-approved and UL-listed, having passed rigorous tests for hydrostatic pressure, vibration, friction loss, fatigue, head deployment, corrosion and water hammer. Every hose is leak-checked at the factory. Their burst pressure exceeds 3,000 pounds. And they’re compatible with every sprinkler head on the market.

Standard Profile Sprinkler, Low Profile Sprinkler specifications

Lightolier Standard Profile Sprinkler and Low Profile Sprinkler are essential components in modern fire suppression systems, designed to enhance safety in various environments. Understanding their features, technologies, and characteristics is critical for anyone involved in fire protection.

The Lightolier Standard Profile Sprinkler is built to deliver effective fire suppression in commercial and industrial settings. It boasts a robust design that ensures reliable performance over time. One of its key features is the response time; its quick activation helps minimize damage during a fire incident. This sprinkler is equipped with a thermal sensing element, which allows for precise activation at designated temperatures, enhancing its efficiency during emergencies.

In contrast, the Low Profile Sprinkler offers a more streamlined design that blends seamlessly into architectural spaces. This feature is particularly advantageous in settings where aesthetics matter, such as hotels, offices, and upscale residences. Despite its lower height, this sprinkler does not compromise on performance. It maintains a reliable discharge pattern that ensures adequate coverage, effectively suppressing flames and heat.

Both the Standard Profile and Low Profile Sprinklers utilize advanced spray patterns to optimize water distribution. The even spread reduces water wastage while providing maximum coverage. Their durable materials are engineered to resist corrosion, ensuring longevity and consistent performance, even in challenging environments.

Installation is made straightforward with the pre-assembled components and compatible fittings, allowing for efficient integration into existing fire protection systems. Lightolier also emphasizes safety, ensuring that all products meet or exceed regulatory standards for fire suppression equipment.

In terms of maintenance, both models require minimal upkeep. Routine checks help ensure their functionality, but their robust construction significantly reduces the likelihood of failures. This aspect is crucial for facilities managers and property owners, as these sprinklers are often a vital part of a comprehensive fire safety strategy.

Moreover, Lightolier's commitment to innovation means that its sprinklers feature the latest in technology, ensuring maximum effectiveness. Their ability to combine form with function makes Lightolier Standard Profile and Low Profile Sprinklers integral to any fire safety system, offering peace of mind for building occupants and property owners alike.
