CLEANING THE TRACTOR

Anyfuel oroil spilledonthe machineshouldbe wipedoffpromptly.Do NOTallowdebristo accumulatearoundthecoolingfinsof the engine, the transmission'scoolingfanor onany otherpartof themachine, especiallythebeltsandpulleys.

Deck Wash System

Yourtractor'sdeckis equippedwitha waterporton its surfaceas part of its deckwashsystem.

Usethedeckwashto rinsegrassclippingsfromthe deck'sunderside andpreventthe buildupof corrosivechemicals.Completethe following stepsAFTEREACHMOWING:

1.Drivethe tractorto a level,clearspotonyour lawn,nearenough for yourgardenhoseto reach.

11.Turnthewateroffanddetachthehose couplerfromthe water portonyour deck'ssurface.

Aftercleaningyourdeck, returnto the operator'spositionandengage the PTO. Keepthe cuttingdeckrunningfor a minimumof two minutes, allowingthe undersideof the cuttingdeckto thoroughlydry.

LUBRICATION

Beforelubricating,repairing,orinspecting,alwaysdisengagePTO, set parkingbrake,stopengineandremovekeyto preventunintended starting.

Front Wheels

Eachof thefrontwheelaxlesandrimsis equippedwitha grease fitting. SeeFigure25. Lubricatewitha No.2 multi-purposegrease appliedwitha greasegunafterevery25 hoursof tractoroperation.

Makecertainthe tractor'sdischargechuteis directedAWAYfromyour house,garage,parkedcars,etc.

2.Disengagethe PTO(BladeEngage),setthe parkingbrakeand stoptheengine.

3.Threadthe hosecoupler(packagedwithyourtractor'sOperator's Manual)ontothe endof yourgardenhose.

4.Attachthe hosecouplerto the waterport onyourdecks surface. SeeFigure24.

5.Turnthe wateron.

6.Whilesittingin theoperator'spositiononthe tractor,startthe engineandplacethe throttleleverinthe FAST(rabbit)position.

7.Movethe tractor'sPTO(BladeEngage)intothe ONposition.

8.Remaininthe operator'spositionwiththecuttingdeckengaged for a minimumof two minutes,allowingthe undersideof the cuttingdeckto thoroughlyrinse.

9.Movethe tractor'sPTO(BladeEngage)intothe OFFposition.

10.Turnthe ignitionkeyto the STOPpositionto turnthe tractor's engineoff.

Deck Wheels
