INSPECT EVERY 25 HOURS
•Lubrication: Grease all pivot points with a high temp grease.
•Battery, check and clean: Keep battery terminals clean and tight. Periodic charging will extend its life. Clean terminals with a wire brush and coat with a petroleum jelly.
•Change engine oil and filter: Use only quality detergent oil. See engine manual for instructions. Select viscosity grade according to your expected environmental temperature.
•Blades: Best results will come from sharp blades. Replace if bent, damaged or worn.
•Engine air screen: Screen must be clean and free of debris for proper engine cooling. Clean with a brush or cloth. Do not spray with pressurized water.
•Muffler: Inspect for damage or corrosion. Keep free of grass or debris to prevent fire.
INSPECT EVERY 100 HOURS
•Clean engine cooling fins: Clogged cooling fins can damage engine due to overheating. Keep fins and external surfaces of the engine clean.
•Replace air filter: The engine will not run properly with a dirty or damaged air filter. Check filter before starting the engine.Check for buildup of dirt or debris. Replace if bent, clogged, or damaged. See engine manual for detailed instructions.
•Replace spark plugs: See engine manual for detailed instructions.
