ASSEMBLYINSTRUCTIONS
Thislogsplitterhasbeenpartiallyassembledatthefactory.Refertothedrawingsandpart listsshoulditbecomenecessarytodisassembletheunitforrepairorreplacementofparts. Inspectallcomponentsfordamage. WARNING:Exerciseextremecaution,aspartsareveryheavy.Sufficientpersonsor mechanicalhandlingequipmentshouldbeused. IMPORTANT:Thisunitisshippedwithoilbutwithoutgasolineintheengine.After assembly,seeseparateEngineManualforproperfuelandoilrecommendations.
FILLINGTHEHYDRAULICRESERVOIR
Fillthehydraulicreservoirwithatleast12QuartsofDextronIIIAutomaticTransmission fluidor10WAWhydraulicfluid.Afterthehydraulicreservoirandtheenginecrankcase arefilledcorrectlywiththeirrespectiveoils,starttheengine.Remembertosetthethrottle
NOTE:Ifthetankisoverfilled,itwilltendtoexpeloilfromthebreathercapwhenthe cylinderisretracted.
STARTUP

COLDWEATHERSTARTUP
TheColdWeatherClutchenablestheenginetobestartedwithouthavingtopullthrough cold,thickenedhydraulicfluid.Simplypullthehandleoutintolockedposition.Start engine,letitwarmup,andreleaseColdWeatherClutch.Afterstarting,assurethatthe leverhasreengaged.
